Sovereign Health of El Paso, TX, is a leader in providing support and care for patients struggling from addiction. Our facility, which is right alongside the Franklin Mountains State Park, provides a number of addiction treatment services, including detox, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP) and residential treatment (RTC).
Treatment options for addiction usually includes detoxification and therapy. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan for someone struggling with addiction; each person needs a personalized treatment plan that addresses their addiction, but also any co-occurring illnesses that need to be treated as well.
That’s why at Sovereign Health, before our patients enter our treatment program, they get a thorough assessment from our well-trained doctors and psychiatrists. They look into a patient’s medical history and treatment history, and also do a psychical and psychiatric evaluation. Based on the information from this assessment, our staff then creates a personalized treatment program that determines what treatment methods would work for them. Our medical professionals will determine what level of care their patient needs, which could include detox, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient or residential treatment.
Levels of Care
Our comprehensive levels of care include:
- Partial hospitalization program (PHP): This medically supervised program provides comprehensive and structured medically supervised care and therapeutic services at least five days a week. The program also provides a series on face-to-face therapeutic sessions that range in level and frequency depending a patient’s needs. Patients may choose partial hospitalization as an alternative to residential treatment (RTC) or go from our residential therapy program to partial hospitalization.
- Intensive outpatient program (IOP): This program provides a number of treatment options to help patients struggling with addiction. Depending on their individual treatment program, patients may go through our detox program, before they receive counseling services, including one-on-one and group therapies. We also offer a number of holistic therapies, such as mindfulness meditation and breathing techniques.
This program is a step-down from partial hospitalization or residential services, and is considered more intensive than traditional outpatient services. IOP services are also provided in the evenings, for those who have work or school during the day.
- Residential treatment (RTC): The Sovereign Health residential treatment programs provide 24/7 supervised specialized care and crisis intervention services in an environment that promotes mindfulness and relaxation. Residential treatment programs last from 30 to 90 days.
