Sovereign’s friends and partners

At Sovereign Health we are proud of our association with organizations dedicated to providing information about mental health and substance abuse issues and reducing their impact on individuals, families, and our society. Like us, their mission is to help individuals overcome mental illnesses, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders so that they may enjoy healthier, happier lives.

The following organizations are partners and friends of Sovereign Health:

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) strives to provide hope and support to the millions of Americans challenged by severe mental illness. Their mission is to provide advocacy for those in need with the help of volunteers working through a network of state and local organizations. Their goal is to raise awareness about mental health issues in order to shape public policy. NAMI’s toll-free help line is an invaluable resource for those in need of support and information.

The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) Members of NATSAP include therapeutic schools, residential treatment programs, outdoor therapeutic programs, wilderness therapy programs and home-based residential programs. These organizations cater to the needs of youth and adolescents including those challenged by mental health, behavioral, substance abuse issues. They offer resources that includes a directory of programs, a guide to financial assistance resources, informative blogs and articles, and a support network for alumni and their families.

The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids supports families seeking help with their child’s substance abuse problem. They enable families to offer each other with mutual support and provide them with the information and resources they need to take the necessary steps to help their sons and daughters. They advocate for positive changes in the way our society treats addiction with the goal of reducing substance abuse amongst young people.

Psychology Today is a publication that provides information on a range of topics, including mental health and substance abuse issues. Its contributors work at the cutting edge of psychology, neuroscience, mental health treatment and current affairs.

The Addict’s Mom (TAM) is an organization of over 80,000 members who work together and support each other as they deal with their child’s addiction. They advocate for improvements in public policy to better address the problem of addiction amongst young people. TAM brings attention to these issue through awareness campaigns, press and social media. Their aim is to heighten awareness of addiction, reduce the stigma associated with it, and bring positive changes to the legal system as it relates to substance abuse disorders.
